American Foxhound

Original Works of art

Group: Hounds
Breed Family: Hound

The ancestry of the American Foxhound can be traced back to English hounds important to North America in 1650 by Robert Brook. A century later, these hounds were crossed with French hounds sent by General Lafayette to George Washington. American Foxhounds are skilled in following scents and are generally fast, smart, strong and friendly.
