Lucy Dawson |
(English, d. 1954 ) |
Lucy Dawson was noted for her paintings and etchings of dogs, both sporting and other types. She was commissioned by the Royal Family to visit the Royal Lodge in Windsor, to paint their favorite Corgi "Dookie" (later reproduced as a family Christmas Card).
Dawson exhibited in London and America. She produced many dry-point etchings, poster designs and book illustrations. She sometimes worked under the name "Mac". She was probably best known for her work in pastels. |
